B.A. in Media and Information
Media Production
We believe in learning by doing. With a hands-on philosophy students plunge into media production in their very first semester by crafting short fiction and non-fiction films. Mentored by award winning filmmakers, they learn the arts of storytelling, directing, producing, cinematography, sound, editing, and multi-camera production – tools they will apply in their future careers in the media market.
B.A. in Film Studies
Film Analysis
For students interested in the study of film history, theory and critique we offer the B.A. in Film Studies housed in the Department of English. Taught by world-class scholars, Film Studies examines global cinema as an art form from the moment moving images were captured to contemporary film. Students screen 100s of multi-media pieces and consider how they intersect with art, culture, history, and business. Candidates in Film Studies also have the opportunity to enroll in screenwriting and limited production courses.
